People in the town enthusiastically welcomed his arrival, including Mayor Nixon (David Oggden Stiers) in which they provided warm support to Stone. Stone's car crash caused him to be unable to leave and continue to only fulfill the duties of the doctor, receiving countless previously attended patients.
